Cape Golf Classic 2010

The 2010 Classic saw more than 50 alumni descend upon Dennis Pines Golf Course on Cape Cod.There was a more than a half-century of graduates represented and playing in the tournament, with alumni from the Class of 1944 (A.R. Pytko) to alumni from the Class of 2008 (Pat Bibaud).  The course was in great shape and the weather turned out to be perfect for this annual event.

The 2010 tournament was held in memory of two great Pioneers who were instrumental to the Saint John's Community in general, and to the Cape Golf Classic in particular.  Former SJ Alumni Relations Director Bill White '60 served as the MC of the day, and said a few words about Jay Farr '47 and Joe Lane '56, before releasing memorial balloons to kick off the golf

The golf was a heated contest with only a couple of strokes separating the winners from the field.  Dinner and cocktails followed with grads from all classes mingling, sharing stories from the day's golf, and reminiscing about the good 'ole days.

The winners:

Champions: Jim Butcher 'H, Bill White '60, Pat Bibaud '08, Warren Hayden '81 (10-under 62)

Closest to the Pin: Warren Hayden '81

Longest Drive: Pat Bibaud '08

Longest Drive (Senior Division): Dick Pytko
